Open Type generators do not have an enclosure and are typically installed indoors, in dedicated generator rooms, or inside containers where weather protection and soundproofing are already managed. Canopy Type generators come equipped with a weatherproof, sound-attenuating canopy, making them ideal for outdoor installation and noise-sensitive residential or commercial environments.

The TC series generator sets utilize high-reliability diesel engines ranging from 4-cylinder configurations (like the 4B3.9 and 4BTA3.9 series) up to powerful 16-cylinder configurations (such as the KTA50 series), providing displacements from 3.9 liters up to 50.3 liters to match different power requirements.

Fuel consumption is measured in Liters per hour (L/h) under standard load conditions. It varies significantly by model capacity: smaller units like the TC30 consume approximately 6.7 L/h, whereas the heavy-duty industrial TC2000 model consumes about 404.8 L/h.
