Standby Power (ESP) is the maximum power available for use in the event of a utility failure, typically used for up to 200 hours per year with no overload permitted. Prime Power (PRP) is the power available for an unlimited number of hours per year in a variable load application, and it generally allows a 10% overload for short periods. For continuous or heavy-duty applications, always refer to the Prime Power rating.

The TC series generators use a wide range of Cummins engines depending on the power output. Smaller models (TC30–TC90) use the 4B and 4BTA 3.9L engines. Mid-range models (TC100–TC165) use the 6BT and 6BTA 5.9L engines. Larger models step up to the 6CTA/6CTAA 8.3L, 6LTAA 8.9L/9.5L, NTA855 14L, KTA19 19L, KT38/KTA38 38L, and KTA50 50L engines for the highest output models up to TC2000.

The TC series generators are available in Open Type and Canopy Type configurations. The Open Type is the base frame-mounted version without a weather-protective enclosure, making it more compact. The Canopy Type features a soundproof and weather-resistant enclosure, which results in larger overall dimensions (L*W*H in mm) but provides better noise reduction and protection for outdoor or sensitive installations.

To select the correct genset, first calculate your total connected load in KW or KVA, then add a safety margin of 20–25%. Determine whether you need standby or prime power operation. For example, if your facility requires 200 KW of prime power, the TC265 (250 KW prime) would be a suitable choice.
