Frequently Asked Questions
Q What is the difference between ESP and PRP power ratings in the genset specifications?
ESP (Emergency Standby Power) is the maximum power a generator can deliver during a power outage for a limited number of hours per year, typically with no sustained overload. PRP (Prime Rated Power) is the power available for an unlimited number of hours per year, supplying a variable load. PRP is generally lower than ESP. When selecting a genset, choose the rating that matches your actual usage scenario.
Q What is the power range available in the TB genset series?
The TB genset series covers a wide power range from 20 KVA (TB20) up to 2750 KVA (TB2750), making it suitable for a broad variety of applications — from small commercial facilities to large industrial plants and data centers.
Q What is the difference between Open Type and Canopy Type gensets?
Open Type gensets have no external enclosure and are typically installed indoors in a dedicated generator room. Canopy Type (also called Silent Type) gensets are enclosed in a sound-attenuating enclosure, making them suitable for outdoor installation or noise-sensitive environments. The Canopy Type has larger overall dimensions than the Open Type due to the housing structure.
Q Are detailed technical specification sheets available for each model?
Yes. Each genset model in the TB series has a downloadable PDF datasheet available directly from the specifications table above. Simply click the "Details" button next to the model you are interested in to download the full technical specification sheet.
Q Is canopy (silent) type available for high-power models above 900 KVA?
For models TB900 and above (up to TB2750), canopy type availability requires direct consultation with our sales team, as custom enclosure configurations may be needed depending on the installation environment and local requirements. Please contact us for more information.
Q Are the unit dimensions listed in the table exact, or for reference only?
The open type and canopy type dimensions listed in the specifications table are provided for reference only. Actual dimensions may vary slightly depending on specific configurations, optional accessories, or custom requirements. Please refer to the individual model's PDF datasheet or contact our technical team for confirmed measurements before installation planning.
